Aisha Shakil is Big time

Aisha Shakil | Event Producer + Florist

Give the Girls Their Flowers

Aisha Shakil on ownership, chaos, and becoming the “big time” version of herself

For event producer and florist Aisha Shakil, the journey hasn’t been quiet.

It’s been built in real time. Through long days, bold decisions, and learning how to trust her own growth as it unfolds.

She calls this chapter of her life The Rooms I Built. A reflection of the last seven years and the work that positioned her in spaces she once only imagined.

And now that she’s here, she’s not questioning if she belongs.

She already knows.

Main Character Energy

Q: If your life right now had a chapter title, what would it be?
Aisha: The Rooms I Built. Signifying all the hard work I did in the past 7 years and how it put me in position to be in the rooms I’ve always dreamed of.

Q: What’s something about you that looks effortless but actually took years to master?
Aisha: Hand tied bouquets.

Q: What’s a “soft flex” you don’t talk about enough?
Aisha: I opened up a successful venue at just 26 years old!

Q: If your aura had a color this season, what would it be and why?
Aisha: Red. I’m literally on fire. Haven’t stopped moving since summer.

Q: What’s something people assume about you that’s totally wrong?
Aisha: That I got it all together.

I don’t, but I’m trying!

The Depth

Q: What belief about yourself did you have to unlearn to become who you are today?
Aisha: That I wasn’t a “big time florist.”

Like what is that even? Lol I’m big time!

Q:What did this past year stretch in you?
Aisha:A better negotiator of my worth.

Q:What is something you’re still healing from?
Aisha: The closing of the venue. I miss it but it was the best move I’ve done for my career.

Q:What does success mean to you now that it didn’t mean five years ago?
Aisha: Just getting booked. Overbooked.

Whereas now it’s getting booked by the right clients and having less stressful events.

A better negotiator of my worth

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

The Roots

Q: Who watered you when you didn’t know you were wilting?
Aisha: My friends. Each and every one of them had a role in pushing me when I felt like giving up.

Q: What environment do you thrive in?
Aisha: Chaos! Lol I love it!

Q: What kind of support actually feels good to you?
Aisha: My love language is acts of service so anything you can do to help me warms my heart.

Even if I say no, the simple gesture of asking is enough for me.

The Legacy

Q:What are you building that will outlive you?
Aisha: My legacy.

Building my business so that I can pass down my entrepreneurial spirit to my kids in hopes they know they too can do anything starting from nothing.

Q:What’s something you want younger women watching you to understand?
Aisha: Live life on your own terms.

Don’t feel bad for it.

Q:What does having your flowers mean to you?
Aisha: Being recognized for all the work I’ve put in and being trusted blindly by clients.

Live life on your own terms. Don’t feel bad for it.

Still Fun. Still Her.

If you were a flower this season, what would you be?

Ranunculus.

They have so many layers and I like to think I do too.

What’s one small luxury you refuse to give up?

Floral assistants. I need my helpers!

Also Russian manicures.

What’s a quote you love and one you think is a scam?

Love: Good art inspires, good design motivates.

Scam: The best is yet to come

Growth doesn’t always come wrapped in perfect timing.

Sometimes it looks like building something, losing it, and realizing it still pushed you forward. For Aisha Shakil, this season is about ownership. Owning her growth. Her work. Her worth. And stepping into the rooms she didn’t just walk into, but built for herself.
